When we first moved into our house, some friends helped John rip out all of the carpet (which was in every room - including the bathroom!!) The dining room was by far the nicest subfloor and so we left it until more funds were available and also to decide what exactly we would do with it - refinish it or put a laminate wood down. Well over the 6 months we've lived here Taylor has taken her toll on the floor with lots of spilled food and drinks. Also, we have been getting slivers in our feet from it. So with tax return money available, we decided to look into our options. We took the easy way out and did the laminate and it turned out very nice.
