Our Going-Ons

Just a little catch up for you all:
We recently decided to put our house up on the market with the low interest rate out there. So the closet was the first of many projects to come! We are hoping to get all of our painting done in a month or so. We have done our kitchen & living room. All we have left are the 2 bedrooms! Well, we actually have a little bit more in the living room but the majority is done. We are trusting the Lord to accomplish His will in our lives, whether that means selling and getting something a little bigger for our money or staying. Either way, we are content :)
Also, some of you know that John has been working for UPS and has moved up in rank over the past few months. He started as the on call for loading the truck at night. During last summer, he went to Minneapolis and got trained in as a driver for anytime they needed an extra, extra, extra man...which has happened. Over the Thanksgiving/Christmas rush he was working every night on the truck while the 2 guys superior to him drove. One of the guys ended up scraping a mailbox while he was driving and, praise the Lord, John became the extra, extra driver :) The guy can't drive for 1 year and so John immediately became the 2nd backup...for 1 year. (We really did have mixed feelings over the whole situation since John really likes this guy...but I guess) What a huge blessing from the Lord!! After the busy season, John went back to being on call at night (the guy is still ahead of him as far as the truck packing job goes - just not the driving....hope that makes sense!) Well just a few days ago, there was a job opening for a permanent driver and the back up took the position. So now John is the next in line for a job and he is now the only available driver for anyone taking vacations, sick days, etc!! So, praise the Lord, he went from working 8 hours in 1 week to now working every night and potentially driving quite often. God is soo good!
