The Kitchen Remake

Our kitchen was a little tricky because we didn't want to spen much money and the material behind the wallpaper wasn't drywall but a flaky type of beaverboard or something. So, we decided to paint over all of it. We put wood filler in the panel grooves so you can't even tell it had paneling on it.

This is the tile backsplash along the counter area by the stove, sink & cupboards. We definately didn't want to tear it all out and redo it so we tried to get a paint with a soft pink base & we matched the light brown/grey as best we could...gotta love the 70's huh?!

Lovely wallpaper...
Here's the wood filler...

And the finished product!

Once again hunny, good job!

Wow what a difference! It looks great and i for one (maybe the only one) like the little pink and brown tiles, so I'm glad you kept them! I can't wait to see it in person!
